Q: What kinds of documents can I upload?
A: You can upload a wide range of legal, contractual, or formal documents—including leases, employment contracts, service agreements, waivers/releases, wills, trusts, settlement agreements, and more. Supported formats: PDF, Word, text (up to 10 MB).
Q: Can you analyze business or commercial contracts?
A: Yes — the service supports both personal and business documents.
Q: What about family law, divorce, or estate documents?
A: These are supported as well, subject to the same interpretive and limitation disclaimers.
Q: Do you handle documents from different states or jurisdictions?
A: We aim for broad jurisdictional adaptability, but our summaries are interpretive and not authoritative in every local jurisdiction. We may note when a clause implicates particular state law.
Q: Are there size, complexity, or attachment limits?
A: Documents up to 10 MB are accepted. If your contract has multiple exhibits or external references, including or uploading them separately helps ensure comprehensiveness.
Q: What does the summary include?
A: You'll receive a plain-language summary that includes:
- High-level overview (parties, term, obligations)
- Extraction of key points (deadlines, deliverables, notice clauses)
- Highlighted "important obligations/dates"
- Responses to any custom questions you posed during upload
- Downloadable version (PDF) or viewable online
Q: Will you flag risky or unusual clauses?
A: Yes — the summary may highlight or "flag" clauses that appear unusually onerous, nonstandard, or potentially risky.
Q: Can I ask a custom question (e.g. "What if I break the lease?")?
A: Yes — there is an optional field at upload for you to submit one or more questions. Your summary will include responses (as best as possible) along with the general summary.
Q: How long until I get my summary?
A: After successful payment and upload, the document is processed and shown to you in seconds.
Q: Can I export the summary?
A: Yes — you may download the summary (PDF or similar) and share it with attorneys, family, or other stakeholders.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The service is a flat rate of $20 per document for full analysis, summary, and highlights.
Q: Are there hidden fees?
A: No — there are no hidden fees. The price covers end-to-end processing.
Q: Are discounts or bulk rates available?
A: We may offer package or volume discounts in the future. Please contact us for special arrangements.
Q: How accurate are your summaries?
A: We aim for high accuracy, but no automated tool is perfect. Our summaries are interpretive and may not capture every nuance.
Q: What if the summary is wrong and I lose something?
A: As per our terms, LegalClarity disclaims liability for decisions made based on the summary. We strongly encourage consultation with a licensed attorney before making major decisions.
Q: Is this legal advice?
A: No — the service provides interpretive summaries and explanations. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
Q: What about ambiguous or conflicting clauses?
A: When a clause is ambiguous or has multiple possible interpretations, we will attempt to note ambiguity, present alternatives, or flag it for further review.
Q: How is my document secured?
A: Your uploads and data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to authorized systems necessary for processing.
Q: Do you store my document forever?
A: No — documents are retained only for a defined retention period (to allow for processing and support) and then permanently deleted.
Q: Can I anonymize or redact sensitive data?
A: Yes — you may choose to mask or redact names, addresses, or other identifiers if you prefer.
Q: Will the other party know I used your service?
A: No — your use is private and confidential. We do not annotate or watermark the original document to reveal our involvement.
Q: What if I disagree with part of the summary?
A: You can contact us with feedback or requests for review. We will consider corrections or refinements to better reflect your document.
Q: Can I ask follow-up questions after receiving the summary?
A: While our core service is the upload + summary + response to your initial question, support or limited follow-ups may be available in the future.
Q: Can I use the summary to negotiate or share with attorneys?
A: Absolutely — the summary is designed to help you understand the document and prepare for negotiation or legal review. Shareable with attorneys or counterparties, though this is not legal advice and they should independently verify key clauses.
Q: How do I upload a document?
A: Go to our Upload page, select or drag/drop your document, optionally add document type & custom questions, enter your email, complete payment, and submit.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Payments are handled securely via Stripe (major credit/debit cards supported).
Q: How can I contact support?
A: For questions or concerns, email us at help@getlegalclarity.com.
